A felt baby book

Hello my dear crafters! How are you doing? Last week on May 10th is my wedding anniversary! We had a really nice evening going out to eat at a super-classy restaurant. It was a surprise for my husband!

Hurray, Lily is born!

Merry Christmas everyone!  Nice that you come to read my post on this Christmas time. I’ve been so busy that I barely have time to craft!  And there are still many more days of partying to come!

This time, I have made a baby card for a little girl named Lily.  Although she is not born on Christmas day, I still thought it was fitting to show a baby card today. This card has a lot of fine details and steps, so it’s semi-advanced and took a while to make.  Here’s what the card looks like.

A lot of thought was put into this card!  First a little background: my neighbor asked me to make a card for her sister that gave birth recently. My neighbor and her family are Chinese and one thing they like are the different animals on the Chinese Zodiac. So I asked my neighbor the animal sign of her sister and husband and she said they were sheep and dog, respectively.  And of course, this year is the year of the dog, so Lily is also a dog sign. For the Worldly Baby (and news!)

Before I write about the card, I want to let you know that I have joined a Design Team!  The DT is for Hobby Alternatief, a Dutch craft store and blog.  Since I’m new to all this and still learning about it, I can’t tell you much more except that I will start writing blog posts starting in November for the website.  I will still continue with Happy Lucky Creations, no changes here, except that I’ll probably be posting more. Without further ado, my latest card!

I’m at a point in my life where many of my friends and family are having babies!  So I feel like all I make now are either birthday cards or baby cards.  My latest card is for a baby girl named Lotte.  It’s not your traditional baby card in the sense that it’s not pink because it’s for a baby GIRL.  I generally prefer baby cards not to be pink or blue because it’s boring that way!
