Hi to anyone that reads my craft blog! Happy New Year: 2020!

Normally I double blog, that is, I write the same post in Dutch for Hobby Alternatief (HA) and in English for my personal craft blog here. However, the last post was about my favorite (craft) tools, and I only wrote that for HA. I figured that I could translate it another time. But for the time being, here is a link to the post in Dutch: Emma’s favoriete craft tools! Even if you don’t understand Dutch, you could at least see the pictures! An Alternative Valentine

As this is my first post (for Hobby Alternatief) in 2019, I’d like to wish you all a Happy New Year!

The theme this time is Valentine since it’s coming up sooner than you think! My card is not your typical red, pink, and hearts valentine for someone you love romantically, but an “Alternative Valentine” card for someone that needs some love.

This card was created for someone that went through a divorce recently.  My husband and I want to tell the person that we are here for her, so I created this card. The design of the card is to show budding flowers “breaking out” of the box, and the flower that is falling out is not alone.  Oh yes, I enjoy telling a story in my custom cards!
