This time, a birthday card for a few challenges!! This time I chose an interesting set of colours to work with, but it all worked out somehow. Here is the card:
I stamped the bear, hat, and presents with black Distress Ink, then with black Memento (I just felt like using two ink brands), coloured it with alcohol-ink markers, then stamped it again with versafine to make the black lines nice and crisp. (I used my home-made stamping tool.) I glued the hat onto the bear’s head, then used Glossy Accents onto the balloon.
Before I made the card, I had chosen the balloon patterned paper. Then I was going to use white for the left side, but I decided against making yet another white card. So I went with a minty metallic green with a linen structure. I die cut the edge of the mint green paper, and then glued everything together on a normal white card paper. Next, I made a little fishtail banner, and spent a while looking for the perfect sentiment. (I originally had a different design in my head.) The sentiment banner is propped up with foam tape. Finally, I glued on small pink and lime green sequins.
