Hello everybody! I am happy to share my first project with you as part of the Hobby Alternatief Design Team!
My first assignment is my interpretation of a card sketch. This card is an advanced level card, but I will also tell you alternative ways for some steps so that it is easier to do. Continue reading “A Peaceful Christmas”
Another non-traditional baby card! This marks my 5th baby card I’ve made this year, and one more on the way…. Anyway, let’s first take a look at the card, shall we?

Before I write about the card, I want to let you know that I have joined a Design Team! The DT is for Hobby Alternatief, a Dutch craft store and blog. Since I’m new to all this and still learning about it, I can’t tell you much more except that I will start writing blog posts starting in November for the website. I will still continue with Happy Lucky Creations, no changes here, except that I’ll probably be posting more. Without further ado, my latest card!
I’m at a point in my life where many of my friends and family are having babies! So I feel like all I make now are either birthday cards or baby cards. My latest card is for a baby girl named Lotte. It’s not your traditional baby card in the sense that it’s not pink because it’s for a baby GIRL. I generally prefer baby cards not to be pink or blue because it’s boring that way!

I got a new die (the circles) and I wanted to use it, so I created this sweet little card!
It’s a clean and simple card so it was rather easy to put together. I had made the little girl image a few days earlier, and she’s just so sweet and cute that she had to be used on a card soon! I also really love this patterned card paper of the cupcakes and strawberries, and I thought it was also perfect to use the circle die to showcase one of the cupcakes. It was not easy to choose which cupcake to use! Continue reading “So Sweet!”
This time, a birthday card for a few challenges!! This time I chose an interesting set of colours to work with, but it all worked out somehow. Here is the card:

Another challenge card! Or should I say 3 cards!
Often I spend a lot of time making one card, but making three cards at once does not take that much more time… although the whole process took several days since I rarely have the chance to sit for a very long time to do something. Continue reading “Beary Happy Day!”
I wanted to do a challenge and when I was looking at the sketch, I noticed the grey rectangle was “hanging off” the side of the card. This inspired me to do a tri-fold card!
